Jay VanMatre
I am
a new member of the Heartland Jazz Orchestra and currently playing the
Tenor
2 book. A jazz lover that is currently working on the completion of a
B.S. in music at I.S.U., I am also working at Bloomington Country Club
as an
Assistant Golf Professional. The two work together very
well...there is a
lot of rhythm in the golf swing, and a lot of swingin' in
jazz music.
Groups I play in include: Heartland Jazz Orchestra, a small
group comprised
of myself and the pianist Jason "Geebs" Gebbink, cleverly
called "The Jay
Geebs Project", and a Dave Matthews Cover band called Crash.
