Nate Sokolski
Nate Sokolski has been playing drumset since the age of 5, when his parents first handed him a pair of sticks and introduced the world of music. His father, Cody, was already active in the music scene as he is today with The Delta Kings, and this translated very nicely to Nate's love for music.
It wasn't until 6th grade that Nate quickly discovered the other assets of the drum world, including Jazz, when he was asked to audition for the Edison Jazz Band by his P.E. Teacher from Countryside School. Not knowing quite what he was doing, he auditioned and made the top band as a 6th grader, and since then has received numerous awards and even scholarships from jazz festivals across the country while continuing his interest in Jazz music.
Nate will be a Senior at Champaign Central High School in the Fall of 2008 and plans to pursue Jazz Studies and Business Management at Northwestern or Texas
